Armenia lifts visa requirement for citizens of Qatar
Armenia’s cabinet adopted on Thursday a decision on lift visa requirements for citizens of Qatar, traveling to Armenia. As the press department at the government reported, the decision will allow the citizens of Qatar to stay maximum of 180 days in the territory of Armenia in the given period of one year without requirement of obtaining a visa.
The explanatory note to the decision said the decision will foster tourism and give a new start to the mutual recognition of spiritual and historical-cultural values of the two peoples, outline new prospects for development and bilateral cooperation in number of spheres.
At the Cabinet session PM Karen Karapetyan asked Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan to prepare the list of countries to establish visa –free trips in the visa liberation policy of Armenia aimed at tourism development.
