The latest statement, as well as the previous statements of OSCE MG Co-Chairs were targeted – French Ambassador
“The OSCE Minsk Group has always been active in the negotiation process. The Co-Chairs have been in active contact with each other, as well as with the foreign ministers of the two countries,” French Ambassador to Armenia Jean François Charpentier noted at a press conference on Thursday.
The Ambassador informed that the Minsk Group Co-Chairs are set to pay a regular visit to the region in about ten days.
“The parties to the conflict are to reach a solution; the mission of the Minsk Group is to support that solution,” Mr. Charpentier added.
Asked whether the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict can enter the phase of decision-making and whether the latest targeted statement of the Co-Chairs was based on it, the Ambassador said: “Everything must be done to find a solution [to the Karabakh conflict] that is acceptable by both of the conflicting parties.”
In his words, it is no longer possible to continue living amid constant ceasefire violations and mutual offences.
Commenting on the statements of the Co-Chairs, Jean François Charpentier noted that the latest statement, as well as the previous ones were targeted when read with subtexts.
