Levon Aronian comes 7th in June 2017 FIDE Rankings
The World Chess Federation (FIDE) has published April 2017 FIDE Rating List.
World Champion Magnus Carlsen (283w) continues to lead the Top Players List. Wesley So (2812) ranks the second and Vladimir Kramnik (2808) concludes the top three. Armenian GM Levon Aronian holds the 7th position with 2793 points.
Standard Top 100 Men April 2017 features two other Armenian chess players. In particular, Sergei Movsesian (2679) ranks the 64th and Vladimir Hakobyan (2667) comes the 84th.
The Top 100 Women June 2017 list is headed by Yifan Hou (2666). Ju Wenjun (2583) holds the second position. Anna Muzychuk comes the third with 2569 points. Armenian chess player Elina Danielian ranked the 28nd with 2451 points and Lilit Mkrtchyan took the 57th position with 2412 points.
