Armenia sends second batch of humanitarian aid to Syria in a week
Armenia delivered the second batch of humanitarian aid in a week to the Syrians affected by hostilities, the country’s defense ministry said in a release on Thursday. The aid delivery was implemented by the instruction of President Sargsyan and in accordance with the reached agreement with Russian and Armenian defense ministries.
The aid delivery comes a day after the Russian military aircrafts transported a total of around 18 tons of food aid comprised of essential supplies including foodstuff and clothing to Syria’s Latakia on June 7.
According to the source, Armenia’s Consulate along with the Russian Centre for reconciliation of opposing sides in Syria will distribute the humanitarian aid among families in need.
To remind, Armenia has started transporting humanitarian aid to the Syrian Arab Republic since February 2917.
