Nalbandian speaks of the emerging situation for the Co-Chairing countries to tame Azerbaijani provocative policy
Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received on Saturday the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, Ambassadors Igor Popov of Russia, Stephane Visconti of France, and Richard Hoagland of the United States as well as the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk.
As the release issued by the foreign ministry said, FM Edward Nalbandian brought to the attention of the Co-Chairs the fact that during the April meeting of the Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani FMs in Moscow attended by the Co-Chairs an agreement was reached to release press releases of similar content to sum up the meeting that was carried out by Armenia and Russia foreign ministries, while the Azerbaijani side, as a matter of practice, not only failed to implement the arrangement, but came up with absurd comments alleging during the meeting in Moscow the parties discussed not the implementation of the reached agreements of the summits held in the previous years, but rather the negotiations during the summits.
Nalbandian stressed that although the OSCE Minsk Group May 18 targeted statement has not been the first, not only does Azerbaijan continue ignoring the Co-Chairs’ calls, but also acts in a manner quite opposite.
In Minister Nalbandian’s words, a situation is emerging for the Co-Chairing counties - as mediators and in the format with international mandate to settle the conflict – apart from statements come up with respective concrete actions to tame the non-constructive and provocative policy of Azerbaijan.
