Armenia’s defense minister meets with OSCE MG Co-Chairs
Defense Minister of Armenia Vigen Sargsyan received on Saturday the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Richard Hoagland, Igor Popov, Stefan Visconti, as well as the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk.
As the Defense Ministry told Panorama.am, the officials discussed the situation around the Nagorno-Karabakh (NK) conflict, the situation in Artsakh-Azerbaijan Line of Contact and Armenia-Azerbaijan state border, as well as the developments since the last meeting with the Co-Chairs in the same format.
Armenia’s Defense Minister drew his interlocutors’ attention on the latest incidents on the frontline, welcoming the targeted response of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.
As an important guarantee to the efficiency of the talks aimed at the NK conflict settlement, Mr. Sargsyan underlined the necessity of introducing monitoring and investigation mechanisms on the frontline in line with the Vienna and St. Petersburg agreements, thereby forming an atmosphere of mutual trust.
