Prime Minister stresses the importance of continued cooperation with Estonia on bilateral and multilateral platforms
Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan received today Estonian Foreign Minister Sven Mikser, press service at the Government reported in a release. Noting that this year the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Estonia is being marked, which can be described as friendly and efficient, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of continued cooperation on bilateral and multilateral platforms.
According to the source, the interlocutors discussed intensification of trade relations, development of business ties and possibilities for implementing joint investment projects. In this context, they touched upon the prospects for cooperation in the field of information technology. Karen Karapetyan suggested sharing know-how in the field of digitization and e-governance. A relevant agreement was reached to that effect.
The Prime Minister of Armenia and the Estonian Foreign Minister exchanged views on EU-Armenia relations. In the context of Estonia’s forthcoming chairmanship in the European Union, Sven Mikser presented his country’s priorities as a chair country.
Reference was made to the summit due to be held this year in the framework of Estonia’s chairmanship, at which a comprehensive and extended partnership agreement is to be signed between Armenia and the European Union, the release added.
