Norway Chess: Armenia’s Levon Aronian beats world champion Vladimir Kramnik
At Round 6 of Altibox Norway Chess 2017 tournament underway in Stavanger, Norway, Armenian GM Levon Aronian defeated world champion Vladimir Kramnik.
As the Chess Federation of Armenia told Panorama.am, Aronian played confidently from the very beginning of the match, gaining decisive advantage at move 21. Kramnik accepted his defeat only at move 34.
At Round 6 Magnus Carlsen drew his game against Maxime Vachier-Lagrave. Nakamura –Karjakin, Caruana – Anand and Giri – So games are still underway.
