State program of housing construction for large families underway in Artsakh
Economic growth in Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) Republic is mainly conditioned with construction. The country’s ministry of the urban development views housing construction as a strategy along with number of construction branches.
Furthermore, housing construction contributes to demographic growth. The Artsakh Ministry of Urban development reports, the construction works of the houses for families with six and more children is underway. The project is implemented in the frames of the state adopted policy to promote birth rate and support families with many children.
According to the source, as of June 2017 4 houses are constructed in Askeran region, another 8 are envisioned by the project. 11 houses are constructed in Martakert, 5 – in Marutni, 5 - in Hadrut, 6 – in Shahumyan region and 12 – in Qashatagh.
Additionally, the state implements a program of buying houses for families with many children. Apart from the state program, projects initiated by “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund continue with 16 houses inaugurated and 15 under construction for families with five and more children.
