3 magnitude quake hits Armenia’s Charentsavan town
On June 15, at 13:34 local time (GMT – 09:34), the Seismological Network of Seismic Protection Service of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) registered a 2.6 magnitude earthquake at northern latitude 40.470° and eastern longitude 44.720° geographic coordinates (9 km north-east from Armenia’s Charentsavan town) at the depth of 10 km.
As the ministry reports, the tremor measured magnitude 3 points at the epicentre. The quake was felt at Charentsavan town with magnitude 3.
