Two Karabakh soldiers wounded in Azerbaijani shooting in critical condition
Yuri A. Zakaryan, a Karabakh soldier wounded as a result of Azerbaijani provocation on June 17, was transferred to Muratsan Central Clinical Military Hospital of Armenia’s Defense Ministry about one and half an hour ago.
As Gayane Hovhannisyan, Chief of the Intensive Care Unit of Muratsan Hospital, told the reporters, the solider had sustained a penetrating gunshot wound in the head.
“His condition is assessed as critical. Having no consciousness, the soldier is hooked up to a ventilator. He needs no surgical intervention based on the examination results,” the doctor said, adding that Yuri Zakaryan has already undergone a surgery at Stepanakert Hospital.
The Artsakh serviceman sustained the injury on June 17, being transferred to Muratsan Hospital today, on June 19.
Speaking about another wounded Artsakh solider Armen Vardanyan, Gayane Hovhannisyan noted that he is in critical but stable condition, adding that the soldier was in the same condition when moved to Military Hospital on June 17.
She informed that the soldier sustained a penetrating head gunshot injury, adding that there is no need for surgical intervention for the patient.
