Five Armenian boxers set to compete for medals at European Boxing Championships
Armenia’s national boxing team members continue impressive bouts at the European Boxing Championships underway in Kharkov, Ukraine.
As the Armenian National Olympic Committee told Panorama.am, five Armenian boxers are about to fight for the 1/4 finals on Monday. Three boxers - Arthur Hovhannisyan (49 kg), Hovhannes Bachkov (64), and Narek Abgaryan (52 kg) will hold their first bouts at the tournament.
Earlier, Armenia’s heavyweight boxer Gurgen Hovhannisyan defeated Vladan Babic from Serbia and made it through to the 1/8 finals. Vladimir Margaryan (69 kg) and Narek Manasyan (91 kg) gained victories as well.
