European Boxing Championships: Armenia’s Hovhannes Bachkov makes it to quarter finals
Armenian boxer Hovhannes Bachkov (64kg) defeated yesterday his opponent from Moldova to make it through to the quarter finals at European Boxing Championships underway in Kharkiv, Ukraine.
As the Armenian National Olympic Committee told Panorama.am, Armenian boxers Narek Abgaryan (52 kg), Vladimir Margaryan (69 kg), Artur Hovhannisyan (49kg) and heavyweight Gurgen Hovhannisyan lost their bouts at the 1/8 finals of the championship.
Thus, four representatives of Armenia continue competing at European Boxing Championships. Today Karen Tonakanyan (60 kg), Arman Darchinyan (75 kg) and Narek Manasyan (91 kg) will hit the ring today to fight for the 1/4 finals.
