Armenia’s PM says Government’s action plan is life-changing
Discussions on the Government’s 2017-2022 action plan are underway at the extraordinary session of the Armenian Parliament, with the plan presented by Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan.
“We are well aware of the expectations our society has from the Government and have taken them into account in our actions. We clearly imagine our present and know what problems and opportunities we have. We also have a clear vision for the future,” the PM said.
He noted that the action plan raises issues regarding each sphere and presents a program of substantial changes.
The PM went on adding that Armenia is in a complicated geopolitical situation, with 83 percent of its borders closed. He noted that Armenia is affected by international market turmoil, as well as political and economic developments in powerful countries, and the country will continue to be in the same situation still for a long time.
Mr. Karapetyan noted that there are also domestic issues everyone is well aware of.
“I do not say this to disappoint you, but rather to restate that we all imagine the reality. This is a life-changing program,” he underscored.
In Mr. Karapetyan’s words, the action plan thoroughly presents their future activities, adding that the program was drawn up following heated discussions and consultations with experts.
“The program is based on the vision to have safe, fair, independent and smart Armenia,” he noted.
