Azerbaijani forces make over 400 ceasefire violations in one week, attempt subversive attack
On 18-24 June, the Azerbaijani forces violated the ceasefire across the Line of Contact between Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (Artsakh/NKR) and Azerbaijan over 400 times from weapons of different calibers, meantime applying 60mm and 82mm mortars and 7 rocket-propelled anti-tank grenade launchers at various directions of the Contact Line.
As the Press Service of the NKR Defense Ministry told Panorama.am, in addition to the above-mentioned ceasefire violations, the Azerbaijani special forces carried out a sabotage incursion attempt overnight to June 21-22 on the line of contact. Armenian units in duty of combat guard timely detected the advancement of the Azeri sabotage group due to high tactical preparedness, surveillance systems and technical equipment of the military posts, inflicting losses to the adversary's manpower and repelling them to their starting positions.
The Azerbaijani side suffered four dead and retreated, leaving personal items of special forces next to the Armenian military posts. The Artsakh Defense Army sustained no losses while preventing the incursion attempt.
Karabakh frontline units continue maintaining full control over the frontline and conduct reliable defense of the military posts.
