Armenian Greco-Roman wrestlers to leave for Junior European Championships
Armenian Greco-Roman junior wrestling team is close to completing the training camp. At night, the team will depart for Dortmund to take part in the Junior European Wrestling Championships. The wrestling team involves the Armenian champions in all the weight classes, the Armenian National Olympic Committee told Panorama.am.
“We have held training camps and taken part in international tournaments. The boys are ready for the European Championships. They need to fight until the last moment. Refereeing errors do occur, but, I believe, no referee can hinder an athlete if he strives for high results,” Head Coach Armen Babalaryan said.
Wrestlers Ashot Mkhitaryan (50 kg), Norayr Hakhoyan (55 kg), Hrachya Poghosyan (60 kg), Zaven Mikaelyan (66 kg), Malkhas Amoyan (74 kg), Arsen Sargsyan (84 kg), Artur Mkhoyan (96 kg) and Davit Hovasapyan (120 kg) will represent Armenia at the Junior European Wrestling Championships.
