No progress in Karabakh settlement amid the lack of conductive atmosphere, Deputy FM says
We have always been ready for the most adventurous actions by our adversary, Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan told reporters at a briefing on Thursday.
Kocharyan, who visited the National Assembly to present the expenditures of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, answered the reporters’ questions mainly referring to the foreign policy, the settlement of the NKR conflict among them.
Speaking about the possibility of upcoming meetings in the Nagorno Karabakh settlement process, Kocharyan said: “The settlement process requires a certain conductive atmosphere. No progress is expected in the talks amid a lack of such an atmosphere. What progress could one expect when shooting takes places and new provocations are constantly conducted?” Kocharyan pointed.
The deputy minister referred to the confidence building mechanism, suggesting the constant calls on Azerbaijan to implement its commitments made during the Vienna and St. Petersburg summits are no coincidence.
