DigiCamp, Armath technological camps launched in Hanqavan
The annual DigiCamp summer and Armath technological camps were launched in Hankavan, Armenia on Saturday, organized by Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE).
UITE reported, the technological camps will be concluded with an award-giving ceremony on July 8.
The fifth DigiCamp has brought together around 50 14-17 years old young people with innovative ideas to make their first steps in business sector by providing them appropriate knowledge during the campus life. The courses will be provided by qualified professionals of the sector and their success stories will fill the camp with practical and effective content. The three best projects will be selected at the end of the camp to receive monetary prizes.
The participants of the DigiCamp summer camp will take innovative entrepreneurship courses, presentations of success stories of the leading Armenian IT companies, such as Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF), “PicsArt,” “Ucom,’ “Arloopa,” “AEGEE-Yerevan,” “Global am,” “Lime Tech,” “Synergy International,” “Instigate,” the practical work with mentors, as well as of cultural and sporting events.
Meanwhile, Armath technological camp is held for the second consecutive year and for the first time has attracted 10-13 aged Diaspora schoolchildren along with their Armenian peers.
Around 300 schoolchildren who are mainly students of Armath engineering labs, will gather in an atmosphere of creative and active recreation, share their engineering skills, master new ones and encourage each other. Children learn robotics, take various trainings and courses.
