4-5 magnitude quake hits Armenia
On July 4, at 10:37 local time, the Seismic Protection Survey Seismological Network of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) received information that at 10:21 local time a 3.5 magnitude earthquake was registered at northern latitude 40.890° and eastern longitude 43.810° geographic coordinates – 11 km north-west from Armenia’s Gyumri city – at the depth of 10 km.
As Panorama.am was informed from the ministry, the tremor measured magnitude 4-5 points at the epicenter. The quake was felt at Gyumri city, Stepanavan and Artik towns, as well as at Ashotsk village with magnitude 3-4 points.
