Embassy of Brazil in Armenia to present music CD by renowned Armenian pianist Hayk Melikyan
On July 4, at 19:30, the Concert Hall of Armenia’s Komitas Museum-Institute will host a solo concert by renowned pianist, Honored Artist of Armenia Hayk Melikyan, as well as the presentation of his music CD titled “Interpreted Figuration” released by the Embassy of Brazil in Armenia within the Embassy CD Series project.
As the press service of the embassy told Panorama.am, the “Interpreted Figuration” CD is the fifth one released within the Embassy CD Series project, represented by diplomatic missions in Armenia. The series has already managed to release Polish, Swiss, German and Lithuanian music CDs.
“We are pleased to note that the fifth CD has been released on the sidelines of Embassy CD Series project. The CD is dedicated to the modern Brazilian piano music,” Alexander Hakobyan, the pianist’s manager said, adding that Embassy CD Series and 1900+ projects have gained wide popularity among the Armenian audience, since the projects aim at presenting the piano music compositions of different nations living in Armenia the major part of which are performed in the country for the first time.
The “Interpreted Figuration” CD by the Armenian pianist features the works by the contemporary and the 20th century renowned Brazilian composers.
The source informs that after the concert, on July 18, Hayk Melikyan is set to hold a solo concert at the Italian city of San Leo in the framework of San Leo International Classical Music Festival, where the pianist will represent Armenia.
