Russia calls for stabilizing situation in Karabakh line of contact – spox
“Moscow calls on the parties to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to take all the necessary measures aimed to stabilizing the situation [in Artsakh-Azerbaijan Line of Contact],” Maria Zakharova, Spokeswoman of Russia’s Foreign Ministry, announced at a weekly briefing on Thursday, livestreamed by RT news agency, reports Panorama.am.
“According to the obtained information, another ceasefire violation incident along the line of contact on July 4 resulted in fatalities, including the ones among civilians,” she noted.
Ms. Zakharova considered unacceptable the further bloodshed. “We call on the sides to take necessary measures to stabilize the situation. We support the statement of the OSCE Minsk Group which underscores the need to stop the violence and return to the negotiation table,” the spokeswoman concluded.
