MES warns against direct sun exposure on July 7 due to high index of ultraviolet rays
The index of ultraviolet rays is predicted to reach 6 on July 7, thus it’s recommended to avoid direct sun exposure from 11:00 to 15:00, Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) reported on Thursday in its daily weather forecast.
According to the source, in the afternoon of July 7 in the territory of the republic and in northern regions on July 10 scattered showers with thunderstorms are predicted in the evening hours, in separate places hail is possible, the wind speed may exceed up to 15-20 m/s. Southwest wind speed is 3-8 m/s.
No precipitation is expected on July 8,9, and 11. The air temperature will fall by 4-5 degrees on July 7 and increase again by 2-3 degrees on July 9-10.
In capital city Yerevan, scattered showers with thunderstorms are expected in separated places on July 7, while no precipitation is expected on July 8-9.
