Electricity production declines in Armenia for January-May 2017
In January-May 2017, a total of 3,239.3 million kilowatt-hours of electricity was produced in Armenia, increasing by 4.6% to compare with the same period of the previous year, as reported by Armenia’s National Statistical Service (NSS).
According to the NSS data, in January-May, the electricity generation at terminal power plants rose by 39%, amounting to 1,165.9 million kilowatt-hours.
Electricity production volumes at hydropower plants cut down by 5.9 %, totaling to 933 million kilowatt-hours.
In the mentioned period, Armenia’s Nuclear Power Plant produced 1,139.3 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, which has decreased by 10% to compare with the volumes of the previous year.
