Criminal case launched into Karabakh soldier’s killing in Azeri shooting
The First Garrison Investigative Unit of Armenia’s Investigative Committee launched a criminal case into the killing of Karabakh Defense Army soldier Vazgen Zh. Poghosyan due to the Azerbaijani fire, the Investigative Committee told Panorama.am.
The Committee reminds that on July 10, at around 17:40, a Karabakh Defense Army soldier identified as Vazgen Zh. Poghosyan sustained a fatal gunshot wound in the head as a result of the Azerbaijani shooting at a military position stationed in the eastern direction of the line of contact.
A criminal case has been initiated at the First Garrison Investigative Unit over murder out of motives of national, racial or religious hatred or fanatism. Preliminary probe is under way.
