Cheese, milk production levels increase in Armenia
According to data provided by the National Statistics Service (NSS), 6,831.3 tons of cheese was produced in Armenia during January-May 2017 which is 4.5% more compared to the previous year.
NSS further reports that milk and sour cream production levels in January-May 2017 have also increased by 0.3% with 217.4 million litres produced this year.
Meanwhile, production levels of sour cream and curd cheese decreased by 19.6% and 7.6% respectively, amounting to 2,039.7 tones of sour cream and 359 tones of curd cheese produced in the period of January- May 2017.
NSS data also indicate about the 4.7% decrease of yogurt production in Armenia for the mentioned period
