One of tourists wounded in Egypt beach resort stabbing to be transferred to Cairo
One of the tourists wounded in a knife attack at an Egyptian Red Sea resort in Hurghada will be transferred to Cairo, RIA Novosti reports, citing AL-WASAT Egyptian news agency.
To remind, a 28-year-old Egyptian man stabbed two German tourists to death and wounded four others from Armenia, Russia and Czech Republic at a seafront hotel in the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Hurghada on Friday. Two of the tourists sustained grave injuries, with two other women having minor injuries.
Yesterday Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesman Tigran Balayan reported that Armenian citizens wounded in Egypt beach resort stabbing are out of danger. The assailant has been neutralized due to the help of our wounded citizen.
Egypt's interior ministry said the assailant was arrested immediately on Friday and that a motive was still under investigation. According to the available information, the perpetrator may suffer from mental illness.
