Armenian Dolma festival-contest held in Tbilisi, Georgia
The “Dolma 2017” Armenian Dolma traditional festival-contest was held on July 16 at the courtyard of Saint George's Church in Georgia’s capital city Tbilisi. The festival was organized by Association of Armenian Women of Georgia “Shushanik”, with the support of Georgian Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, “Hayartun” Cultural Center and individual benefactors.
As Panorama.am was informed from the website of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, introducing and publicizing delicious Armenian dishes have become a tradition in Tbilisi, with the scope of the Dolma festival expanding annually.
The festival featured 40 participants presenting more than 50 varieties of Dolma. The contest brought together locals, guests from various cities of Armenia and Georgia, foreigners and tourists to taste and review the quality of the Armenian Dolma.
In addition, song and dance ensembles, as well as individual performers from Armenia made those in attendance enjoy their time.
