Iran’s Rouhani likely to give preference to coalition government, Armenian expert says
“On August 5, Hassan Rouhani's inauguration as Iranian President will be held. Until then, the president’s team is handling issues over the formation of the new government,” Armen Israelyan, Yerevan-based expert in Iranian studies, noted in a post on Facebook.
In the expert’s words, still during the election campaign, Hassan Rouhani declared that the current government staff will undergo changes, featuring predominantly young officials.
“Given the recent developments in Iran’s domestic political life, Hassan Rouhani will probably try to reach agreements with the conservative politicians and to form a coalition government through compromises. Mohammad Bagher Nobakht, a spokesman of the Iranian Government, pointed to the aforesaid at a news conference on Tuesday,” Mr. Israelyan added.
