April Hero Misha Aghajanyan would have turned 21 today
Today marks the birthday anniversary of Misha Aghajanyan, an Armenian private, who heroically fell during the April war in 2016. Aghajanyan who would turn 21 on July 19, fell on April 4 while trying to occupy a firing position with a tank amid intense fighting when was fatally shot from an Azeri UAV in Martakert.
Aghajanyan was posthumously awarded with the Medal of Courage of the Republic of Armenia.
Private Misha Aghajanyan was from Vardablur community of Armenia’s Aragatsotn marz and was the only child of the family. The brave soldier was named Misha after his uncle who fell during the first Karabakh war in 1994.
As fellow villagers said Misha had already attracted people with his modesty, dedication, and patriotism. His mother described him as kind, honest, and friendly, however, didn’t reconcile herself with the loss.
In one of her previous interviews she said Misha didn’t died, and she would wait for him forever.
