5-6-magnitude quake strikes Azerbaijan, felt in Artsakh territory
On July 20, at 10:22 local time, the Seismic Protection Survey Seismological Network of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) registered a 4.2 magnitude earthquake at southern latitude 39.800° and western longitude 48.500° geographic coordinates – 39 km southwest of Azerbaijan’s Shirvan city – at the depth of 20 km.
As Panorama.am was informed from the ministry, the tremor measured magnitude 5-6 points at the epicenter. The quake was also felt at Artsakh’s Hadrut town with magnitude 2-3 points.
