Russia’s Putin meets Azerbaijani president in Sochi
President of Russia Vladimir Putin held a meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Sochi on July 21. The two leaders discussed various aspects of the bilateral relations and the regional agenda.
According to a report by Kremlin, at the beginning of the meeting, the Russian president underscored that the situation in the region is not simple, meantime expressing hope that the meeting between the presidents ‘will be another step towards a solution of all the complicated issues’.
“We have a great deal of work to do together and many joint plans for the future,” Putin added.
“It is important to hold regular consultations on topical issues of the regional and global politics, as well as on the bilateral relations and security in the region,” the Azeri president noted in his turn.
