EYOF 2017: Swimmer Artur Barseghyan reaches semi-finals
Armenian swimmer Artur Barseghyan reached semi-finals at the seconf competition day of the14th European Youth Olympic Summer Festival (EYOF), taking place in Győr, Hungary. As the National Olympic Committee reports, in the 50m freestyle event Barseghayn registered a 23.70 sec result. In the 100m freestyle event among women Varsenik Manucharyan failed to go through to the next round.
Tennis players Yuri Martirosyan and Evelina Martirosyan lost their start matches to Faden da Silva Araldo of Portugal and Lilian Muldin of the UK respectively.
Judoka Hovhannes Davtyan lost the first bout to Matan Kokolayev of Israel, the source reported.
To note, Armenia is represented in six sports at the EYOF Győr 2017.
