No final agreement on Sargsyan-Aliyev meeting yet, deputy FM says
Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan on Thursday commented on the recent Azerbaijani reports on alleged armed attacks by the Armenian military. In an interview with the reporters following the cabinet session, he noted that the Armenian Defense Ministry reported that those statements lack any grounds.
“I can note only one thing regarding that country (Azerbaijan): it is a well-known fact who is shouting ‘Grab the Thief!’ the loudest – the thief himself. And only the thief is interested in the absence of investigation mechanisms,” the deputy minister noted.
In Mr. Kocharyan’s words, it is simply useless to talk about any progress in the Karabakh peace talks amid such behavor of Azerbaijan.
Reflecting on the possible meeting between the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan, he said that the OSCE MG Co-Chairs have made such a proposal and the foreign ministers are working on it, however no final agreement has been reached yet.
