Weather update: Up to 40 °C forecast for Armenia in coming days
On August 1-5, high temperature is predicted across the territory of Armenia. In the daytime up to 38...40 degrees above zero and a high risk of fire is predicted in the valleys of Syunik, in Yerevan and Ararat Valley, according to the Armenian State Hydrometeorological and Monitoring Service at the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).
The daily average air temperature will be 4-5 degrees higher than normal in the indicated period. The index of ultraviolet rays is predicted to reach 6, thus it’s recommended to avoid direct sun exposure from 11:00 to 15:00.
No precipitation is predicted in the country on 1-5 August. Southwest wind speed is 3-8 m/s.
On August 3-4 the air temperature will go up by 1-2 degrees.
Clear weather is also forecast for Yerevan, Armenia’s capital, on 1-5 August.
