Three Armenian Greco-Roman wrestlers begin competing at Junior World Championships today
The Greco-Roman wrestlers are set to begin their performances at the Junior World Championships underway in Tampere, Finland on Saturday.
As Panorama.am was informed from the Armenian National Olympic Committee’s official website, three Armenian Greco-Roman wrestlers will enter competition today. Namely, Ashot Mkhitaryan (50 kg) will begin competing at 1/8 Finals, facing Alpamys Dastanbek from Kazakhstan,
Hrachya Poghosyan (60kg) will compete with Hassan Ahmed Mohamed of Egypt at qualifying stage. The third Armenian athlete Arman Baghdasaryan (74 kg) will take on Belarusian wrestler Evgeny Yurov at 1/16 Finals of the championship.
