Fire breaks out in “Khosrov” Forest State Reserve
Fire burst out in “Khosrov” Forest State Reserve, 20 km north to Urtsadzor village of Ararat region, swallowing predominantly grass area, Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) reported, adding the respective alert was received at 12:30 local time.
According to the source, 14 fire fighters of the MES operative response group and the emergency response group of the regional Crisis Management Center left for the scene.
As of 16:00, the firefighters continue extinguishing works.
The cause of the fire remains unknown with the ministry expected to provide updates.
