152 people detained in Turkey in one week over social media posts
The Turkish Interior Ministry announced on Monday that 152 people were detained across the country in the past week over social media posts, Turkish Minute reports.
The ministry said that investigations were launched into 2,703 social media users and that the identities of 1,264 were confirmed, leading to the detention of 152 people between Aug. 7 and Aug. 14.
No information was provided as to whether the detainees were arrested.
