Levon Aronian leads Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz with combined score
The ten GMs have played nine rounds of Blitz chess at Rapid and Blitz competition, which is the fourth stop on the Grand Chess Tour 2017 taking place at Saint Louis, U.S.
As the Armenian National Olympic Committee told Panorama.am, after nine rounds, Armenian GM Levon Aronian took the second place in Blitz event, colleting 6.5 points. Sergey Karjakin, who scored an 8/9, is leading the section.
In combined score (Rapid and Blitz) Aronian still leads the table with 18.5 points.
The next round of blitz games will be played on Friday night.
To note, in the Blitz competition each win is 1 point, a draw is half a point.
