Armenian firefighting-rescue crew resume operations in Borjomi forest
The firefighter-rescue crew of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) have resumed extinguishing activities as of 06:30, August 24, to contain forest fire in Borjomi Municipality, Georgia, which erupted on August 20 near village Daba and quickly spread into the surrounding areas burning tens of hectares of forested territory.
As Panorama.am learn from the MES press service, four firefighting brigades from Armenia are operating at the scene.
According to the source, the Armenian rescue crew, including firefighting brigades, rescue vehicles as well as crisis management mobile center are deployed in the location close to the fire spots in Tsakhverd settlement.
