Yerevan to host the Eurasian Week next year
Next year Armenia will host the Eurasian Week - the biggest annual business event, the aim of which is to develop the economy, investment and export capacity of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The Forum is conducted by the EAEU countries and the Eurasian Economic Commission. The first Forum Eurasian Week took place in October 2016 at the site of the Moscow International Forum and the Innovative Development Show Open Innovations.
The Forum is designed as an effective dialog platform for developing B2B contacts, discussing tools and conditions for business development in the EAEU, as well as for jointly elaborating the strategy of EAEU economic development in the context of global challenges.
During this year’s forum held in within the framework of EXPO-2017 International exhibition in Astana, Kazakhstan, Armenia was represented by Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investment Emil Tarasyan who presented a report in a panel discussion “Digital Reboot. New Understanding of the Economy!”. The discussion covered issues as the role of business in development of the digital economy, assessment of investment potential and status of EAEU digital space by financial institutions, the future of digital services and commerce, legal regulation of the IT-market, outlining Armenia’s huge potential in terms of available human resources and developed IT industry.
