PM briefed on progress in Kumayri historical center development project
Armenia’s Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan held today another consultation to discuss the Kumayri historic center development project underway in Gyumri.
As the governmental press service reported, the Prime Minister was briefed on Kumayri Revival specialized non-public contractual investment fund’s activities aimed at attracting investment and building infrastructures.
The Prime Minister instructed those responsible to ensure that different activities under the Kumayri historical center project were conducted according to the timetable
To remind, Kumayri development project implies creation of arts, crafts and entertainment centers in the historical center of Gyumri, Armenia’s second biggest city, that once served as a trade crossroad for different nations. The area was also famous as an educational and scientific center.
The project implies realization of various business programs, with an active and attractive environment provided for tourists and pedestrians. 7,700 square meters will be used as a business area to bring different ideas to life. The project was drafted based on cross-country know-how.
