Armenian athlete Karapet Tevosyan ensures at least bronze at Taipei Universiade
Armenian wushu competitor Karapet Tevosyan (70 kg) won through to the semi-finals at the 29th Summer Universiade underway in Taipei, Taiwan and ensured at least a bronze medal, the Armenian National Olympic Committee told Panorama.am.
The source informs that the Armenian athlete beat his opponent from Belarus in the quarter-finals of the championship, gaining a strong advantage over him after the first bout.
Karapet Tevosyan will face Jafar Shirzadeh from Iran during the semi-finals of the championship scheduled on Monday.
