U.S. Ambassador: It is welcoming to see the sustainable development of Armenia’s IT sector
“We have quite successful experience of the Armenia-U.S. cooperation especially in the IT sphere,” Vahan Martirosyan, Armenia’s Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies noted, while hosting U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills, the press service of the ministry told Panorama.am.
Minister Martirosyan welcomed the operation of the representations of major and small companies of the United Stated in Armenia, as well as the achievements of the Armenian companies in the U.S. market.
“I am convinced that the bilateral partnership will be continuous in this sphere,” Mr. Martirosyan highlighted.
The minister also expressed hope to see American companies' research laboratories operating in Armenia in the future.
The sides also discussed the ongoing activities in the two states in the cyber-security field, as well as the opportunities to introduce the American experience of cyber -security strategy development in Armenia during the meeting.
“We have strong bilateral ties in such spheres as communication, information technologies and transport. It is always welcoming to see the sustainable development of Armenia’s IT sector. I hope the Embassy team and your staff will continue their joint efforts to further develop those fields. I also would like to thank you for your constant support to expand the transparency and accountability of infrastructure programs being implemented in Armenia,” Mr. Mills said.
