Armenia lifts visa requirements for citizens of Japan
The Armenian Government approved the draft decision on lifting visa requirements for the citizens of Japan starting from Sept. 6, 2017 at a session on Thursday.
Pursuant to the decision, the Japanese citizens will be able to enter the country and stay there without visa for up to 180 days in a year.
According to the justification, the move will create more favorable conditions to boost Armenia’s commercial ties with Japan and the inflow of the Japanese tourists in the country. It pointed out the positive dynamic observed in Japanese-Armenian relations annually, saying that both sides want to further deepen the bilateral ties.
Armenia has scrapped visas for citizens of already six countries in 2017.
