Azerbaijan opens fire, disrupts OSCE monitoring near Armenia’s Chinari village
The Azerbaijani armed forces on Thursday opened fire in the direction of the representatives of the OSCE Mission conducting a monitoring in the Armenian-Azerbaijani border zone, near Chinari village of Armenia’s Tavush Province, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense (MOD) said.
Speaking to Panorama.am, MOD spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan confirmed that the OSCE Mission was unable to conduct activities amid the Azeri shooting.
“Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, the Personal Representative of the Chairperson-in-Office, left the scene,” the official said, adding that despite facing obstacles from the Azerbaijani side, the mission completed the monitoring.
