“The Last Judgement” mega show to be premiered at Opera Theatre
A unique mega show titled “The Last Judgement” will be premiered on September 14 at the Armenian National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after Alexander Spendiaryan. As the Ministry of Culture reported in a release, G. Verdi’s Requiem by visual creation by Paolo Micciche will be staged accompanied by 3D animation of Michelangelos’ Sistine Chapel.
According to the source, the performance that has gained the admiration of the audience throughout the world, will be staged for the first time in Armenia.
The special guest of the performance is mezzo-soprano Eleni Matos from the USA, who has recently performed Verdi’s Requiem during an event dedicated to the memory of Maria Callas in Greece.
The conductor of the performance is Honored Artist of RF Constantine Orbelian. Costumes are designed by Alberto Spiazzi (Italy), Video programmer is Davide Broccoli (Italy). Honored artist of Armenia Marine Deinyan (soprano), Honored Artist of Armenia Sargis Aghamalyan (tenor), Hayk Tigranyan (bass) are soloist to perform with the participation of the theatre’s orchestra and choir. Cheif choirmaster of the performance is Honored Artist of RA Karen Sargsyan.
