Armenian Genocide to be discussed at 2nd International Conference on Ottoman Archives in Turkey
The 2nd International Conference on Ottoman Archives is slated for November in Turkey, with its agenda featuring the topic of the Armenian Genocide.
The conference will be opened by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Ermenihaber reports.
According to the source, the event will bring together intellectuals, historians and archivists who ‘will discuss historical facts based on the official documents and materials dating back to the period of the Ottoman Empire stored at the archives’.
Discussions on “Emigration and forced migration in the Ottoman Empire” and “The issue of Lausanne and the straits” will be held during the meeting, the source detailed.
