Armenia’s Hovhannes Bachkov takes bronze at World Boxing Championships
Armenian boxer Hovhannes Bachkov (64kg) ended the 2017 World Boxing Championships underway in Hamburg with a bronze medal.
The Armenian athlete won the bronze on Thursday after he lost his semi-final clash to Andy Cruz Gómez from Cuba, the Armenian National Olympic Committee reports.
Hovhannes Bachkov still ensured at least bronze after winning through to the semi-finals of the championship on 30 August.
Andy Cruz Gómez will face Ikboljon Kholdarov from Uzbekistan in a struggle for the gold medal.
