Three firefighters who suffered smoke inhalation in Nairit plant fire in excellent condition, official says
The three firefighters who suffered smoke inhalation while tackling the fire erupted at Armenia’s Nairit Plant on 28 August are in excellent condition, Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Davit Karapetyan told a news conference on Saturday.
The official highlighted that due to the rescuers’ self-sacrificing actions, it was possible to avoid unpredictable consequences of the Yerevan rubber plant fire.
Speaking about the wastes of the burnt materials, Mr. Karapetyan said that they will either be removed from the territory of Armenia, destroyed or be safely conserved inside the country. The international experts will come up with relevant solutions within two months, he added.
“Currently the firefighters are on duty at the territory of Nairit to prevent ire renewal in the factory,” he said.
