Karabakh, Armenian presidents take part in festive events in Stepanakert
Presidents of the Artsakh Republic and the Republic of Armenia Bako Sahakyan and Serzh Sargsyan on Saturday took part in the festive events dedicated to the 26th anniversary of the NKR proclamation, the Central Information Department of the Artsakh President’s Office reports.
The heads of the two Armenian states visited the Stepanakert Memorial Complex and laid wreaths and flowers to the tombs of freedom fighters perished for Artsakh's independence and freedom and the first speaker of the NKR National Assembly Arthur Mkrtchyan.
Second President of Karabakh Arkady Ghukasyan, primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, Karabakh National Assembly chairman Ashot Ghulyan, Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan, high-ranking officials from Artsakh and Armenia, representatives from the Diaspora and foreign guests took part in the events.
